Obituary

Arnold S. “Arnie” Hoffman, age 84, of Northbrook, beloved husband of Janet Jacobson and the late Helene Hoffman; loving father of William Hoffman and the late Steven Hoffman; cherished stepfather of Joel (Julie) Jacobson and Jeri (Howard) Topel; adored grandfather of Rachel and Ryan Jacobson, Jessica, Allie, and Jacob Topel; devoted son of the late Albert and late Fritzie Hoffman; dear brother of Burton (Libby) Hoffman and the late Marilyn Cooper; fond brother-in-law of Roslyn (Ross) Feldberg; treasured uncle and friend to many. Active and longtime member of Congregation Beth Shalom. Arnie epitomized the meaning of a mensch. He was a “stand-up guy” who deeply cared for others’ wellbeing and was willing to do anything to help another person. Most of all, he adored his family and close friends. Arnie will be dearly missed. Service Tuesday, 12 Noon, at Congregation Beth Shalom, 3433 Walters Ave, Northbrook. Arnie’s service will be livestreamed at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. Interment Westlawn Cemetery.
