Alvin Kaplan, age 91, of Boca Raton, FL, formerly of Morton Grove; beloved husband and best friend for 70 years of Claire Kaplan, nee Chervony; loving father of Brian (Diane Lesniac) Kaplan, Lenny (Mindy) Kaplan, and the late Phyllis (Doug) Colby; dear father-in-law of Michelle Casolaro; adored Zadie of Marisa (Eric) Babbitt, Beth (Evan) Magdovitz, Jeff Kaplan, Danielle (David) Kogan, Jason Colby, Brett (fiancée Lauren Less) Kaplan, and Carly (fiancé Jason Chase) Kaplan; proud great grandfather of Aiden, Maren, Toby, Brooke, Dylan, and Mia; devoted son of the late Philip and the late Sarah Kaplan; cherished brother of the late Harriet Kaz; treasured brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many. Alvin’s family meant everything to him, and he will be missed by all. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 26th, 12 Noon ET, at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 5808 W. Atlantic Avenue, Delray, Florida. Graveside service Thursday, December 28th, 3:00 p.m. CT at Shalom Memorial Park, Rand & Wilke Rds, Arlington Heights, IL. The memorial service and the graveside service will be livestreamed on Alvin’s webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
