Allen Roy Greenberg, age 83, of Deerfield, was the Owner and President of Carpet Bar, in La Grange, IL. Beloved husband to his high school sweetheart of Maxine, (nee Koenigsberg) for 62 years; loving father of Margie (Chuck) Franklin, Andi (Don) Solomon, and Stephen (Sheri) Greenberg; adored Papa of Marissa (Randy), Michelle (Jonathan), Zachary, Jenna, Nicholas (Lilli), Bradley (fiancée Traia), and Kendall; proud great grandfather of Colson; devoted son of the late Arthur and the late Phyllis Greenberg; cherished brother of the late Sharon Fyffe; treasured brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many. Simply put, Allen was just an uncomplicated, sweet, loving and giving human being, who lived a life he could be so proud of. Allen will be so dearly missed by his family and friends. Graveside service Monday, 11:00 a.m. CT at Shalom Memorial Park, Rand & Wilke Rds., Arlington Heights. The service will be livestreamed on Allen’s webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
