Obituary

Allen Green, 71, August 30, 2023; Beloved husband and best friend of Gail nee' Brenner for 48 wonderful years, loving father of Jami (Brian) Gryll, Loni (Dan) Shuftan, Bari (Scott) Scholten, and Marni (Joel) Emerman; cherished Zadie of Dylan, Ari and Landon Gryll, Jordyn and Sydney Shuftan, Jax, Asher and Faye Scholten and Evan and Eliya Emerman; adored son of Esther and the late Leonard Green, much loved brother of Sharon (Gary) Schochet and dear uncle of Ian (Chrissy) Schochet and Sean (Priscilla) Schochet.

Allen had a heart of gold and was the most kind, caring, and loving son, husband, father, Zadie, and brother. Dear friends considered him a brother and he was the definition of a true "mensch". Allen's biggest love was spending time with his family and everyone around him knew just how loved they were by him. Allen always had the right words to say, whether it was simply sharing his wisdom, helping someone through a difficult time, or telling a funny joke that would be talked about for years to come. A true role model, Allen's genuine care for others will forever live on by those whose lives he touched. Leaving behind a huge hole in everyone's heart, he is already dearly missed and will forever be remembered.

Memorial donations in his memory may be made to Northwest Suburban Chabad, www.nwschabad.org, where Allen was an active member and could often be found practicing his love for Judaism.Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
