Obituary
Seymour Baida, of Pikesville, Maryland, passed away on Monday, August 1st, 2022 at the age of 95. He is survived by his loving children, Abbe (Joseph) Distelburger and Andrew Baida (Cynthia Spell); adored grandchildren, Eric Distelburger (Tamara Bendahan), Sarah (Ashley) Baida, Betsy (Yadeedya) Mellman, and Samuel Baida-Spell; cherished great-grandchildren, Milo Baida, Lyla Distelburger, Levi Mellman, and Finnian Baida; sister-in-law, Lillian Shore; cousins, Margot Zipper and Susan Teller; and nieces, Nina Shore, Sharon (Mark) Twersky, and Randi Barenholtz. Seymour was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marlyn Baida (nee Berkenfeld); siblings, Irving Shore and Hannah (Royal) Leff; and parents, Sadie and Harry Schmulowitz.
Seymour was a good man who was kind, thoughtful, and generous to others. He was often the smartest person in the room and always the most humble and modest. He loved being with his family, listening to opera, speaking and reading Italian, visiting Florence (17 times), playing bridge, watching the Orioles and Ravens, and worrying about the people he loved. He never stopped missing his wife Marlyn and cherished the life he shared with her for more than 64 years until his last breath. Seymour was a caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend and was loved by many. We will miss him and are grateful we knew him.
Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022 at 3:00 pm. Interment Oheb Shalom Memorial Park. Please omit flowers. Royal Ave, Baltimore, MD 21201. The family will be in mourning at North Oaks, 725 Mt. Wilson Lane, Pikesville, MD 21208, Wednesday immediately following interment. On Thursday, the family will be receiving visitors from 1-7pm at 902 Greenleigh Rd, Towson, MD 21212.
