Obituary
Rosalind “Rozzie” Levine, 103, of Fairfield CT, passed away on July 26, 2023
at Mozaic Senior Life formerly the Jewish Senior Services in Bridgeport, CT.
Rozzie was born in Brooklyn, NY to Lena Kanterman. She graduated from High
School in 1937. She worked as a Bookkeeper for Sunshine Market in Fairfield, CT
and Gloria’s Farm Market in Milford, CT and sold Avon Products for Many years.
She enjoyed Mahjong and volunteering at the coffee shop at the Jewish Home on
Jefferson St. in Fairfield. She was involved in the local chapter of The
Pioneer Women Organization.
Rosalind is survived by her three children, David Levine and his wife Cheryl
of Branford, Susan Hoffman and her husband Billy of Woodbridge, and Debbie
Friedler and her husband Jay of Trumbull. Her grandchildren, Jesse and Carrie
Hoffman, Kaitlyn Goodwin, Matthew Everson, Justin and Jeremy Friedler and 6
great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Eli Harold of 61 years; her sister
Lillian; and grandson Matthew Levine.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 28th at 11:00AM graveside.
Services at Farband Cemetery 250 Reid St. Fairfield, CT. 06824. Shiva will be
observed at the home of Jay and Debbie Friedler immediately following the
funeral, and Sunday July 30th from 3PM-5PM.
