Obituary

Rob Greenwald, age 60, died suddenly of natural causes on June 26, 2021. Devoted son of the late William and Florynce. Beloved brother of Barry. Treasured uncle of Flora. Loving companion of Katie Oates. Fond nephew of Rose (Murray) Kasman. Dear cousin of Roberta, Deb, and Mark Kasman, Michael Greenwald, Anne (Steven) Wold and Elliott (Rhonda) Cohen.

University of Chicago alum, Rob directed the Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness for ten years, leading education research methodologies in new directions and supporting the careers of emerging researchers. His diverse career included application of research methodologies to biotechnology investment. He was also a devoted friend, family member, and colleague, leaving behind him a legacy of a lifetime of extraordinary thoughtfulness and generosity.

A memorial service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seminary Co-op Bookstores, 5751 S.
