Obituary

Ned Charles Schechter, 81, passed away on Thursday Sept. 14th. He was an accomplished interior designer, artist and owner of Ned Schechter Interior Design as well as Imagine Kitchen and Bath. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Eileen Schechter, his children, Brian, Robert and Amy Schechter and extended family Ronni (Christopher) Frey, Andrew Barnes and the late Mindy (the late Michael) Herman; He was the loving Zaide to his grandchildren; Olivia, Seth, Molly, Harrison, Kaylie, Graham and Erin. Ned was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Lois Schechter as well as his brother Jay Schechter. He was proud of being part of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the Secretary of the Northbrook Rotary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rotary of Northbrook, www.northbrookrotary.org. Chapel service Monday, Sept 18, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment following at Shalom Memorial Park.
