Melvyn Richard Neman, 84, died peacefully at home beside his loving partner of 37 years, Nancy Abzug; loving father of Laura (Kurt) Heinking, the late Robert Neman and bonus father of Lauren Buchel, Mitch (Susie) Levin, Randi (Mike) Heimert and Jami (Bryan) Vrba; cherished Papa Mel of Kyle, Samantha, Nicole (Jake), Zane (Jenna), Madison, Lauren (Andrew), Alison (Matt), Dylan, Taylor, Katie, Hillary and Danielle; adored great grandfather of Charlize, Reese and James; dear brother of Norbert Nejmanowski and Arlene Nickerson; many loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Melvyn Neman tribute fund at Chicago Botanic Garden, chicagobotanic.org.
