Melvin Mayster, In loving Memory, July 3, 1933 – August 17, 2022.
Melvin is survived by his sons, Bryan (Jennifer) and Keith (Michelle), his grandchildren Austin, Madison Engel (Matthew), Noah (Alexandra), and Gillian, and his great grandchildren Kaylie, Stella, and Olivia. Melvin was preceded in death by his wife, Millie, and granddaughter, Krystina Baitcher (Jonathan). Melvin came from a humble background and through hard work, determination and business savvy enjoyed a successful career as a CPA and business entrepreneur.  He was a lifelong Chicago resident, was well traveled and had many great times with family in his Lake Geneva vacation home. He will be remembered for his generosity to family and friends, as well as to the many charities he supported.  Mel loved to shop and had a wardrobe to prove it.  He was a noted collector of many things but will be most remembered for his collection of bronze frogs. He loved sweets and always made sure the house was filled with candy and pastries for all. Graveside services Friday, August 19 at 12:30 pm at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Rd., Arlington Heights (Rand and Wilke Roads).  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. To attend the funeral live stream, please visit our website.
