Obituary

Joel M. Berman, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, April 17th, 2022 at the age of 79. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of almost 40 years, Janet Berman (nee Bernstein); daughter, Miriam Berman; and special friends, Janice and Allen Pogach, who provided loving and caring support during this emotional and stressful time. He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Sara Berman (nee Kreshtool); and he was the devoted and loving son-in-law to the late Rubin and Sylvia Bernstein (nee Dinovitz). He is also survived by many cherished neighbors, Chaya and Issac Kruk, and Rabbi Jeffery and Deborah Orkin, friends, and extended family.

Joel was a veteran of the Army and served during Vietnam. He then went on to get a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. Joel was very involved with the Parents on Patrol program at Cross Country Elementary School, when his daughter attended there in the 1990s.

Services were held at Liberty Park of Shaarei Zion, 9770 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD 21133, on Monday, April 18th, 2022. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to Hatzalah of Baltimore, 2930 Taney Road, Baltimore, MD. Shiva will be private, due to Covid.
