Obituary

Isabel Levinson (nee Spandau), of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Tuesday, February 15th, 2022 at the age of 101. She is survived by her sons, Leo (Lynn T.) Levinson and Harlan Levinson; grandchildren, Eve Levinson and Edward Levinson (Allison Zitrick); great-granddaughters, Ava and Emma Levinson; and local nieces, Sarah (Rick) Bernard and Elaine (Marc) Lowen. She was predeceased by her husband; Hyman Levinson; and parents, Helen and Leo Spandau.

Isabel was born in New York City and started working at 16 to support her Mother until she got married at 30 and then assisted running her husband's business ventures. After Isabel and Hyman were married they lived in Indiana, PA and then Elmira, NY before moving to Baltimore in 1966.

Isabel was a lifelong student and loved adventure whether it was travel or meeting new people. She was an excellent cook and baker and loved trying new recipes. She was a volunteer at Meals on Wheels, Sinai Hospital and many Jewish organizations like Amit and Haddassah. The most important thing to Isabel was her family.

Services at Sol Levinson & Bros., 8900 Reisterstown Road, Baltimore, MD 21208, on Thursday, February 17th, 2022 at 12:00 pm. Interment Chevra Ahavas Chesed Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to amitchildren.org. The family will be in mourning at 2804 Cheswolde Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21209.
