Obituary

Cherie Diane Goldman, nee Greenfield, age 90, long-time resident of Northbrook, most recently a resident of the Sedgebrook Community. She was an accomplished and esteemed classroom and gifted education teacher in Northbrook District 27 for over 30 years. Cherie was the beloved wife for 51 years and childhood sweetheart of the late Norman Goldman; loving mother of Irwin and Felicia Goldman, Craig and Lara Goldman, and Laura Goldman; adored Grammy of Jonathan (Gaby) Goldman, Courtney (Dr. David) Daar, Benjamin (Whitney Krapes) Goldman, Jordan Goldman, Claire Goldman, and Teresa Goldman; dear step-grandmother of Declan and Tallula Lighthouse; proud Great Grammy of Asher, Harper, Maren, and Dawson; devoted daughter of the late Rose Greenfield and the late Irving Greenfield; dearest daughter-in-law of the late Frieda and the late Joseph Goldman; cherished sister of Helene Alberts, Dianne Greenfield and the late Daryl (late Raymond) Worley; special sister-in-law of the late Melvin (Bonnie) Goldman; fond stepsister of Dr. David (Trish) Greenfield; treasured aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend of many. We want to express our sincere gratitude and love to Delia and Mary Ann for their amazing friendship and care during these past years. Cherie was beloved and treasured by her family, friends, students, students’ parents, colleagues, neighbors, fellow congregants and yoga class members. She lived life to the fullest with a wink and a smile to all.

Service Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. CT at The Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove (1 Block N. of Lake Cook Rd.). Cherie’s service will be livestreamed on her webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to the Chicago Botanic Garden, chicagobotanic.org or the Northbrook Public Library Foundation, Northbrook.info/library-foundation.
