Blanche Rose Greenberg

Obituary

Blanche Rose Greenberg, nee Shidler, age 88. Devoted daughter of the late Frank and Doris. Beloved wife of 66 years of Gerald Morton Greenberg. Loving mother of Russell (Robyn), Scott (Alison Zirn), and Gregory (Judy). Cherished grandmother of Alexi (Jameson O’Neill), Max (Michelle), Asher, Samantha (Matthew) Lerner, Jeremy (fiancée Elianna Landau), Gabriella (fiancé Andrew Han), Adam and Rachael. Great grandmother of Blake Lerner. Dear sister of Joan Slosberg and the late Zalle Shidler. Fond sister in law of Arnold (Susan) Greenberg and the late Arlene (Alvin) Fishman.

In her earlier career Blanche was a teacher at Hillel Academy and also taught in the Denver Public School system. Blanche, through her love and extensive study of music, became a concert pianist, performing at venues such as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in NYC. Blanche also spent many years participating in the Aspen Music School and she enjoyed her many interactions with young students. Blanche instilled in all of us her passion for education and tenacious work ethic and demonstrated unwavering integrity and respect towards others. Blanche earned a Bachelor of Arts in teaching from the University of Colorado (August 1955) and a Master of Arts in teaching from the University of Colorado (May 1970).
