In Loving Memory of

Barry Steven Koss

Obituary

Barry Steven Koss, 83, beloved husband of Beverly nee Greenberg for 59 wonderful years; loving father of Jordan Koss (Susan Kim Koss) and Melanie Koss; cherished grandpa of Sophia, Eleanor, and Leila Koss; devoted son of the late Evelyn and Morris Koss; dear brother of the late Sandra (the late Samuel) Dresner and the late Herbert Koss; treasured uncle, cousin, and friend of many.

Barry was a proud Hyde Park native who, despite his South Side upbringing, was a lifelong devotee of the right field bleachers at Wrigley Field as well as center ice at Chicago Stadium. He was a dedicated athlete, beginning with softball and basketball as a youth, graduating to cycling in early adulthood, and settling on swimming (with a snorkel!) in later life. He had a remarkably warm and welcoming demeanor fueled by a genuinely expressive smile. He possessed an extraordinarily discerning eye, always complimenting a new haircut or outfit, which sparked a career in graphic arts culminating in the founding of an eponymous print advertising agency. With all his successes, his greatest joy was doting on his dear wife, his twin children, and his three granddaughters.
