Obituary

Alice Irene Rosenberg, nee Katz, age 98, of Glenview, formerly of Palatine, born and raised in Kansas City, MO; beloved wife for 75 years to her wonderful husband Elliott Rosenberg; loving mother of Audrey Eden, Susan (Frank) Lutostanski, Chuck (Rachel) Rosenberg, and Judi (Moti) Medina; adored grandma of Andrea (Ben) Steed, Jake Nokes, Adam (Katie) Lutostanski, Mark (Ashley) Lutostanski, Scott (Libby) Lutostanski, Ari (Lital) Rosenberg, Jonah (Lauren) Rosenberg, Yasmin (Harel) Shtein, Nadiv (Nurit) Medina, and Nitzan (Yarden) Medina; proud great grandmother of 23 great grandchildren; devoted daughter of the late Joe and the late Rebecca Katz.

Alice worked as an automotive accountant and public relation specialist. She received a BA in English from the University of Missouri in 1949 and received Mortar Board and Phi Beta Kappa awards. She completed the journalism curriculum at Harper Community College in the 1970s. Alice was a member of Beth Tikvah Congregation in Hoffman Estates for over 60 years and served as its first woman president, Sisterhood president, Temple historian, newsletter editor, taught religious school and wrote and produced many shows and programs. She was the volunteer archivist at the Palatine Historical Society for 37 years, wrote three books, produced six power point programs and was editor of the Society newsletter for many years. Alice and Elliott spent 27 years pulling a trailer throughout the US and travelled extensively overseas.

Service Friday, 10:00 a.m. CT at Beth Tikvah Congregation, 300 Hillcrest Blvd, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169. The service will be livestreamed on Alice’s webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to Beth Tikvah Congregation, www.beth-tikvah.org. Info: The Goldman Funeral Group (847) 478-1600.
