Obituary

Jerome (Jerry) Marshall, 90, Henderson, NV, passed away on December 2 in Las Vegas, NV. He is survived by wife Rochelle "Shelley" Marshall (nee Singer); children Tari and Todd; step-children Kathy Weiss, Lyle Zimbler and Marci Kresin; 11 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. He was pre-deceased by wife Joan (nee Kase, m. 1952 d. 1982). Born in Chicago, IL, Jerry and Joan were the owners of a boutique children's clothing store in Kankakee, IL, The Tari and Todd Shop for more than 25 years. He was President of the Kankakee Chamber of Commerce in 1971. An avid pilot, he flew private planes both nationally and internationally, including annual fishing trips to Canada. He enjoyed playing poker, and after moving to Boulder City, NV, was a poker dealer and poker room manager at the Gold Strike in Boulder City as well as the Monte Carlo on the Las Vegas Strip. He attended Oklahoma University before enlisting in the Army, and was honorably discharged in June 1947. Chapel service Friday, December 7, 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights, IL. Interment at Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Senior Center of Boulder City.
