Obituary

Lois Ann Gordon, nee Rosenberg, age 84, of Highland Park, formerly of Wilmette; born in Chicago, Lois was raised in South Shore and graduated from South Shore High School. She went on to Northwestern University where she studied music therapy and immersed herself in the classical music she so loved. While raising her children, Lois attended Loyola University, where she received her Master’s degree in Social Work and found her passion working with the elderly. She is the beloved wife and best friend for almost 63 years of Gerald “Jerry” Gordon; most loving and nurturing mother of David (Jill) Gordon, Andrea Gordon, and Leslie (Corey) Grauer; most cherished Grammy to “the apples of her eyes,” Jami, Rachel, and Joshua Grauer; devoted daughter of the late Jack and the late Florence Rosenberg; treasured sister of Charlene (late Lester) Podolsky; dear sister-in-law of Michael (Sharon) Gordon, Lynne Gail (late Jimmy) Russell, and the late Herbert (late Lenore) Gordon; adored aunt and great aunt of many nieces and nephews; wonderful cousin and friend to many. Lois was lovingly cared for by our angel, Almie (AJ) Duran. Lois defined kindness, love, compassion, empathy, and goodness. She made our world a better place with her beautiful music and her delicious chocolate chip cookies. She is irreplaceable. The service will be private. The livestream will be Thursday, 11:00 a.m. CT at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. Under Recent Services, click onto her photograph and scroll down to Service Details to register for the Zoom.
