Sherwin J. “Sherb” Fischer, age 88, of Highland Park, founder of Esquire Personnel Services and former owner of the Chicago Hustle of the Women’s Professional Basketball League; beloved husband of Rachel Fischer and the late Shirley Fischer, nee Teeter; loving father of Stacy (Earl) Melamed, Scott (Debby) Fischer, and Shay Force; also survived by Rachel’s children Kylle, Karl, Ked, and Kaitlyn; adored Papa of Jack (fiancée Rachel Longman), Sarah, Alexis, Madison, and Lauren; devoted son of the late Jack and the late Lillian Fischer; cherished brother of the late Conrad (late Grace) Fischer; treasured uncle and friend to many. Sherb was a past president and long-time member of Ravinia Green Country Club. The graveside service and shiva will be private. The service will be livestreamed Tuesday, 12 Noon CST at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. Under Recent Services, click onto Sherb’s photo and scroll down to Service Details to view the service.
