Sherwin J. “Sherb” Fischer, age 88, of Highland Park, founder of Esquire Personnel Services and former owner of the Chicago Hustle of the Women’s Professional Basketball League; beloved husband of Rachel Fischer and the late Shirley Fischer, nee Teeter; loving father of Stacy (Earl) Melamed, Scott (Debby) Fischer, and Shay Force; also survived by Rachel’s children Kylle, Karl, Ked, and Kaitlyn; adored Papa of Jack (fiancée Rachel Longman), Sarah, Alexis, Madison, and Lauren; devoted son of the late Jack and the late Lillian Fischer; cherished brother of the late Conrad (late Grace) Fischer; treasured uncle and friend to many. Sherb was a past president and long-time member of Ravinia Green Country Club. The graveside service and shiva will be private.
