Obituary

Jesus Mercado-Toro went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 22, 2020. He was ninety-eight years old.

Reverend Jesus Mercado-Toro was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico where for many years he served the lord as pastor of Four Gospel Church (La Iglesia Cuadrangular, En Ponce Puerto Rico).

He served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II from June 1943 to February 1946. During his time of service he received the American Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal. The Asia-Pacific Theater Service Medal and the Bronze Star. After returning from service, he attended and graduated from the Percy Modern Business College and worked at The Telegraph Company in Ponce, Puerto Rico.

He was married to Eulalia Fred, who preceded him to heaven. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Burial took place at Calverton National Cemetery for Veterans on Long Island on 04/28/2020.

His favorite scripture verses were "Believe in the Lord and you and your household will be saved" ACTS 16:31 and "I am persuaded that neither death nor life....shall be able to separate us from the love of God" Romans 8:38-39
