Obituary
Tem Williams (nee Thelma Bess Ruvinsky,), 82, beloved wife of Larry for more than 60 years; loving mother of Kimberly Klapperich, Mark, David and Daniel Williams; and cherished Baubbie of 11. A role model, teacher and tutor to young children, an adventurer of life and a never-ending advocate of social causes and community. A true force of nature, Tem pursued Tikkun Olam all over the world. After retiring from teaching thousands of children and ESL students to read and learn to speak English, Tem (and Larry) joined the Peace Corps and volunteered in Jamaica. Then went on and volunteered for the World Jewish Service in Cambodia and for JUF in Israel. An indomitable spirit that led the fight for gun control, better services for seniors, and helping all in need. She loved physical exercise of all kinds, including biking, swimming, and the outdoors, as well as the adventure of travel spending time in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Tem was loved dearly by her family and friends and her values and legacy live in them - may her memory be an inspiration and a blessing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jewish United Fund (JUF), juf.org . Services have been held.
