Obituary

Harold Chaet, 95, beloved husband of Rosalind Chaet, née Crown, happily married and dancing for 62 years; loving father of Julieann and Burton (Cathy) Chaet; cherished Grandpa of Ryan and Parker Wexler, Natalie, Hannah and Nathan Chaet; adored by his four-legged furry grandbabies Charlie, Jacob, Kya, Jozi and Mazi; Preceded in death by his siblings Louis Chaet, Sarah Kramer, Anne Ehrlich and Isadore Chaet. Dancing was a passion for Harold. He and Rosalind were beautiful ballroom dancers which included the Mambo, the Tango, Waltzes, the Cha-Cha and Jitterbug, you name it, they danced it! In his retirement years, they kept busy with up to 8 concerts or plays every week. Harold leaves behind a legacy of love and stability for his family, Dayenu. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital Chicago, www.shrinerschildrens.org/locations/chicago, Easterseals, www.eastersealschicago.org or the Jewish United Fund (JUF), www.juf.org. Chapel service Tuesday, April 30, 12:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment following at Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 W. Montrose Avenue, Norridge.
