Obituary

Sylvia Ely, 92, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, July 24th, 2021. She is survived by her children, Steven Ely, and Dr. Jacalyn R. Ely; grandchildren, Danielle (Ryan) Moreland, Dr. Ariel Cohen, Adam Ely, and Lauren (Anthony) Friedson; and great grandchildren, Kiefer Ely, and Beckham and Decker Friedson. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Aaron Ely; son in law, Dr. Sanford Cohen; siblings, Sarah Gordon, Louis Berman, Ida Sherman, Tillie Goldenson, and Rose Berman; and parents, Morris and Yetta Berman.

Services at Tifereth Israel Cemetery, 6307 Hamilton Ave, Rosedale, MD 21237, at 3pm. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, 100 Raoul Wallenberg Place, SW Washington, DC 20024. The family will be in mourning at 7534 Broadcloth Way, Columbia, MD, 21046, Monday and Tuesday beginning at 7pm both nights, with a service at 7pm each night.
