Obituary

Sylvia G. Delman, age 85, of Deerfield, passed away on March 27 from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. A proud Northwestern University Grad, respected retired teacher, longtime community servant and accomplished musician. She was the loving mother of Aimee Demain, Andrew (Elissa) Delman, and Peter (Mara) Delman; adored grandmother of Steven, Ashley (Tony), Nick, Tony, Spencer, Mason, Nathan, and Brandon; proud great grandmother of Lexi, Skyler and Charlotte; devoted daughter of the late Saul and the late Jean Samuels; cherished sister of the late Burton Samuels; dear aunt of Stephanie Samuels and David (Nina) Samuels; treasured great aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Sylvia offered help and assistance to anyone that needed it. She served as confidant, music teacher, essay writer, counselor, and popcorn aficionado. She was grandiose in her style, love  and openness. Her force and presence will be greatly missed. Graveside service April 13th, 11:30 a.m. at Shalom Memorial Park, Rand & Wilke Rds., Arlington Heights. The service will be livestreamed on Sylvia’s webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to  Michael J.
