Obituary

Susan Beth Solmor (née Telechansky), 84, March 20, 2023. Happy daughter of the late Morris and Zorabel Telechansky, and sister to Fern Grauer; adoring wife of the late Allan Edward Solmor, M.D.; loving mother of Jane (Mark) Mordini, Mark (Deborah) Solmor, Beth (Steve) Becker; joyful Bubbe to Max Mordini, Isabella Mordini, Eli Mordini, Rachel (Ryan), Hannah, Jamie, Noah Becker and Josh Becker; and thankful friend to her care giver, Eli Villarin. She was a lover of books and crossword puzzles, dogs, ice cream, travel, humor, and companionship. Loyal to her community and always careful to give back, she struggled privately with a lifetime of progressive loss of vision and hearing, but never complained. She was a great cook, loved to shop, loved to set a table and make a home, and never missed the opportunity to celebrate any occasion. She lived a fulfilled and happy life and we already miss her forever. Please consider honoring her memory with support to The Foundation Fighting Blindness, www.fightingblindness.org, or Plant a Tree in Israel, www.shiva.com. Graveside service, Thursday, March 23, 2023, 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Park 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
