Serafima “Sima” Friedman nee Nemezhanskya, age 92.
Beloved wife of the late Mark Friedman. Dear mother of Rochelle (Gustavo) Rodriguez and Marilyn (Jeffrey Bernstein) Friedman. Devoted grandmother Isabel, Gabrielle, and Cameron. Passionate teacher and long-time professor of Russian language and literature at Northeastern University. Service Monday July 5, 2021, 12 noon at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd. (at Niles Center Road) Skokie. Interment at Judea Reform Congregation Cemetery, Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
