Obituary

Sandra Kaplan Powers, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Monday, October 11th, 2021 at the age of 82. She is survived by her children, Sheryl (Trish) Powers, Troy (Melissa) Powers, and Valerie (Alex) Berman, and her grandchildren, Alex Seidman, Hunter Seidman, Dylan Berman, Kylie Berman, and Lage Powers. She was predeceased by her parents, Rose and Geza Kaplan.

Sandra, sitting in her favorite chair, would always light up when her family came to see her. She loved being around people, no matter who they were she wanted to talk, visit, and give everything she could to whoever was with her. Her positive attitude and smiling face was contagious to everyone in every walk of life. Whether she was getting her nails and hair done, which she loved, or she was walking with her grandkids, she lit up the world around her. Sandra loved each minute of life and made sure that those closest to her appreciated life's opportunities to the fullest. She put everyone before herself and served as peacemaker, matriarch, and guiding light for her whole family. Sandra will be missed dearly by all who knew her, may her memory be for a blessing always.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021 at 12:00 pm. Interment Arlington Chizuk Amuno Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to the American Liver Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The family will be in mourning at The Pavilion, 4001 Old Court Road, unit 405, Pikesville, MD 21208, Wednesday following interment, with a service at 7pm, and Thursday from 3pm, with a service at 7pm.
