Obituary

Sander Wallk

Beloved and loving father of Hilory Wallk, Jeffrey (Ruth) Wallk, and Bryan Wallk passed away at the age of 99 on March 26, 2022, in Glenview, Illinois. Beloved son of the late Harry Wallk and Lena Stein. Devoted brother to the late Riva (Wallk) Sanders and Irv Walk. Born on February 26, 1923, Sander (Sandy) was the devoted husband for over 57 years to the late Helen Wallk. In addition to being survived by his three children, Sandy leaves a family legacy of his grandsons Joshua Wallk and Jonathan Wallk. Sandy was first and foremost a man who loved family and friends. He made friends wherever he went and kept friendships forever. He created several successful businesses and imbued an entrepreneurial spirit in his children and carried a spirit of hope and strength to overcome any obstacle. Sandy was always eager to share his stories from his years in service (WWII), which culminated in his trip to Washington DC in 2008 as part of the Honor Flight Program. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Semper Fi & America's Fund, 825 College Blvd, Suite 102, PMB 609, Oceanside, California 92057, https://thefund.org to support combat wounded, ill, and injured. He will be missed by his family, friends, and remaining veterans. To keep everyone safe and healthy, the chapel service and interment are private.
