Obituary

Rochelle "Ricki" B. Dishler, nee Plotkin, 88, beloved wife of the late Marvin; loving mother of Inette (Ida) Dishler, Cheryl (Elton) Smith and Steven Dishler; cherished grandmother of Eric and Kendrick Smith; adored great grandmother of Rowan, Emmaliene, and Lennon Smith; caring sister of Louis (Claire) Plotkin. Ricki, grew up in Milwaukee, raised her family in Chicago, but has resided in Arizona for the past 20 years. Rochelle and Marvin loved the theater and performed in many community musicals. They were also championship dancers. She enjoyed a regular game of Mah Jong and was always involved in synagogue life, which included starting and managing a gift shop, coordinating social events, and more. Ricki enjoyed Jewish holidays, cooking big holiday meals, and celebrating with her family. Her family respectfully asks that you wear a mask while indoors and be fully vaccinated to attend the funeral or shiva. Chapel service Tuesday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
