Obituary

Robert Rubin, 96, WWII Veteran, loving father of David Rubin (Minetta Wallingford), Rhonda Klaus (Roger), Steve Rubin, Julie Rubin, Robert (Adri) Rubin II; loving stepfather of Gina Johnson and Rhonda Esposito; cherished grandfather of Rachel (Michael H.), Russell, Anthony, Michael R., Lindsay (Drew), Alex, Samantha (Tim), Michael W., Alexis, Ryan, Aidan, Daniel, Tarrah, Taylor, Lucas and Gabriel; adored great grandfather: special uncle; treasured brother-in-law of Lois Rubin; loving man to his special lady for 40 years, Sandy Honer, and friend to many.

Robert enjoyed many different jobs throughout his life, working for Pint Size Jrs. in the Chicagoland area for several years, opening his own shop in the Hamilton Hotel and especially when working with high school students in a special education program. He also volunteered many hours with Al Anon as a sponsor as well as leading groups. He was proud of his children and loved his family and friends. A big part of his life was socializing with a variety of people everywhere he went.

Hi motto for every day was "Thank you God"!

Chapel service, Sunday 10:30 AM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Private family interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
