Obituary

Roberta "Bunny" Oberlander, nee Perline, age 76

Beloved wife, best friend and life partner of Mark Oberlander, PhD. Loving mother, mother-in-law of Sami (Moshe Agam) Oberlander, the late Mitchell Benjamin Oberlander of blessed memory and Michael (Sima) Oberlander and grandmother of Mati, Maayan and Tali Agam, and Noah, Naomi, Eitan and Ilana Oberlander. She was the cherished daughter of the late Seymour and the late Rose Perline and daughter-in-law of the late Paul and the late Sally Oberlander. Lifelong member of Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America, National Council of Jewish Women and proud founding member of Darchei Noam of Glenbrook. The joy of her life was the growth and development of her seven grandchildren and celebrating their outstanding accomplishments. She loved reading books of all kinds, especially mysteries, and outscoring from her couch even the best Jeopardy! champions. In the past two years she loved designing her new home, exemplifying her fine tastes and good judgment. She will be dearly missed by her many lifelong friends and the newer ones she made. Service Friday 7AM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Road (one block north of Lake Cook Road), Buffalo Grove. Interment Shalom. Memorial contributions may be made to Darchei Noam of Glenbrook, 2095 Landwehr Road, Suite 18, Northbrook, Illinois 60062, www.darcheinoamglenbrook.org, Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, 225 East Chicago Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60611, www.luriechildrens.org, Hadassah, 60 Revere Drive, Suite 800, Northbrook, Illinois 60062, www.hadassah.org/chicago-northshore or NCJW, 1107 Central Avenue, Wilmette, Illinois 60091, www.ncjw.org or to the charity of your choice.
