Obituary

Marvin Lovitz born Morris Israelovitz, 97, the only son of the late Harry and Rose Israelovitz leave his wife Renee (nee Pomeroy), son John, grandson Aaron, granddaughter the late Amber, great-grandson Christian, great-granddaughter Cindel, sister-in-law Carol (Wenhui), niece Anne, and many friends. Marvin was born and grew up in Chicago. He was a WWII veteran. He was an outstanding musician. He was a social worker in Chicago before becoming an elementary school teacher. No obituary can capture the spirit or personality of this man. He was a very generous, kind, caring human being. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Please perform an act of kindness in his memory. Chapel service, Wednesday, 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Randhill Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, lovetotherescue.org.
