Obituary

Marvin Hoffman, age 85, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2021 surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Gail nee Berger for over 60 years; loving father of Richard "Rick" Hoffman (Randi Schullo) and Steven (Allison) Hoffman; loving grandfather of Tyler (Adrianne), Rachel, Alec and Olivia Hoffman; Nicole and Joey (Katie) Schullo; great grandfather of Brooks Wilder Hoffman; son of the late Julius and Goldye Hoffman; brother of the late Robert "Bob" (Wilma) Hoffman; brother-in-law of Jordan (Buni) Berger; uncle, great uncle and cousin to many. Marv and Gail enjoyed their many travels around the world which often included their children and spent the winter months in Palm Desert for many years. Marv spent his career in the packaging business and owned his own company. He was in the Air Force Reserve and was the president of many organizations including our Homeowner's Association for many years. He loved playing cards, golf and just spending time with his family and friends. Marv will be dearly missed by all who loved him. Chapel service, Friday, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Entombment Shalom Memorial Park.
