Obituary

Martin "Marty" Harrow PhD, 89, February 21, 2023; beloved husband and best friend of Helen (nee Kramer) for 66 wonderful years; loving father of Jean (Joseph) Libera, Wendy (Robert Aronsohn) Donavan, Barbara (Enrique) Perez and Ellen Harrow; cherished grandpa of Natasha, Daniel and Laura Libera, Sarah and Jenna Donavan, Dorothy and Landon Perez; dear brother in-law of Yvonne Resnick; much loved uncle and a dearly missed friend to whom knew him. Marty earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Indiana University. He worked at University of Illinois at Chicago for 30 years and made outstanding contributions to the field of mental health specializing in the characteristics of schizophrenia. His work has improved treatment of schizophrenia patients in many countries around the world. Besides his accomplished career, Dr Harrow was able to travel the world with his wife, in his spare time he was an avid chess player, but his greatest pride and joy was his family. Memorial donations may be made in his honor to:
