Lydia Reich, nee Rychner, age 93, beloved wife of the late Jacob "Jack" for 67 wonderful years; loving mother of Jeanie (Don) Blum, Joe (Kim) Reich, Belle (Ron) Kolman and Cindy (the late Lee) Masover; proud and loving grandmother of Adam (Amanda), Ben, Nicole (Jeff), Carly, Zach, Samantha and Alex; great-grandmother of Jacob; beloved daughter of the late David and Genia Rychner (who were taken in the Holocaust); dearest sister of the late Pinkus Rychner (who was taken in the Holocaust), the late Max (Ilse) Rychner, the late Zigfried "Shaj" (Rita) Rychner, the late Esther "Ella" Rychner and Cacilia "Cilly" Rychner (both of whom were taken in the Holocaust); adored by countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Lydia was a published author and was a poet on the Holocaust. Her larger than life personality and contagious laugh will be greatly missed. Private service and shiva. Interment Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. (www.ushmm.org).
