Obituary

Leonard Markow, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Thursday, January 14th 2021 at the age of 89. He was the beloved husband of the late Vivian Markow (nee Silverman). He is survived by his loving and devoted children, Dr. Steven (Marla) Markow of Baltimore, MD and Mr. Allen (Leonor) Markow of New Port Richey, FL; his brother Ronald (Rhona) Markow and sister Barbara (Kent) Schiner. Leonard was the brother-in-law of Harriet & the late Melvin Richman and Ethel Hart. He was a special Pop-Pop to his loving grandchildren Brandon, Shawn and Alex Markow and a cherished uncle of Sheri Rubin. He is survived by his friend and companion Ann Kurlander and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Sam and Mollie Markow.

Len had a magnetic personality and everyone loved him. From his childhood to the military, through his career as a salesman, and with his friends and family and acquaintances, once you became a friend of Len, you were a friend for life. He had a way of bringing out the best in people.

His family and especially his grandchildren were everything to him, and he will be truly be missed.

A Virtual Funeral will be held on Monday, January 18th, 2021 at 2:30 pm. Interment Har Sinai Cemetery - Garrison Forest Road. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
