Obituary

Lawrence “Larry” Alan Abramovitz of Chicago, IL, beloved husband of Doreen O’Donnell, loving father of Lawson and Bess, and oldest daughter, Marcey Abramovitz. Devoted stepbrother of Avis Henkin and Maddie Weinman, and special cousin to Jack Winnick. Fond uncle of Victor, Eric and Ruth Abramovitz, and great uncle of Jessica and Isabella. Dearest uncle and cousin, and treasured friend to many. Cherished son of the late Meyer and Bess Abramovitz, loving brother to the late Jack Abramovitz. Devoted stepson and stepbrother to the late Norma Abramovitz and Robin Jannish. Larry spent most of his legal career as a city attorney with the Corporation Counsel’s Office. After Larry retired, he engaged in volunteer legal services at the Center of Concern helping those less fortunate. Larry will be remembered especially for his generosity, kindness, sense of humor, and for his special marriage to the love of his life, Doreen. Service Wednesday, 10:00 am at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., (one block North of Lake Cook Rd.) Buffalo Grove. Interment private.
