LaVerne Berkelhamer, age 92, (nee Schwartz), beloved wife of the late Larry Berkelhamer, happily married for 68 years; loving mother of Cary (Beverly) Berkelhamer, Nancy (Cary) Sakol, Donna Hodges (Tom Johnson) and Bob Berkelhamer; cherished grandmother of Marc Sakol, Samantha (Tucker) Risely, Stephen (Hannah) Poweska, Amanda Poweska and Sydney Berkelhamer; adored great-grandmother of Brayden, Reagan and Coleson Risley; much loved daughter of the late Phillip and Mildred Schwartz; treasured aunt and cousin to many. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Congregation Beth Judea, Long Grove, www.bethjudea.org. Graveside service Friday, June 4, 10:00 AM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
