Obituary

Larry Spanier, age 69, of Highland Park, Illinois died November 20, 2022. He was born in Chicago on June 29, 1953. Larry grew up in Highland Park where he also later met and married his soulmate, Daisy and raised their child, Jennifer, in Highland Park where he lived until his death. For the past 17 years, Larry worked at Chicago Tech, Inc where he was Vice President of Sales. He passionately engaged in local racquetball leagues for decades. Later in life, he took pride as being the best possible Papa to his grandchildren Aaron and Micah. Larry lit up the lives of everyone who knew him with his caring nature. Survivors include his beloved wife Daisy, nee Puthenveetil; his loving daughter Jennifer Spanier-Stiasny (David Stiasny); cherished grandchildren Aaron and Micah Stiasny; dear brother Graham Spanier (Sandra); and dear sister Anita Koszyk (Andrew). Devoted son of the late Fred and Rosadele Spanier, loving uncle to 19 nephews and nieces. Chapel service Sunday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment at Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
