Obituary

Kate Kinser, 70. Died suddenly

Beloved daughter of the late Harry and the late Mary Kinser. Dear sister of the late George Kinser. Proud aunt of Brittany Kinser (Mark Jenquine), Starrin Kinser (Kris) Petersen and Samantha Kinser (the late Chris O'Donnell). Adored second "Aunt Kate" of Miles, Graeme, Ehlery, Calder, Wrenna, Kinser and Jesse. Will be missed by many cousins, friends and colleagues. Kate was brilliant and dynamic, but most of all her empathy and kindness made her stand out from the rest. She was a proud immigrant advocate, a pastoral counselor to the deported and an interfaith educator. She was a loving aunt, thoughtful friend with a great sense of humor. The world is a better place because of Kate. She will be dearly missed. Service Wednesday 10 AM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd (at Niles Center Road), Skokie. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to any immigrant advocacy organization, especially the Interfaith Community for Detained Immigrants or HIAS, 216 West Jackson St., Suite 700, Chicago, IL 60606. Arrangements by Chicago Jewish Funerals - Skokie Chapel, 847.229.8822, www.cjfinfo.com
