Joseph Harry Skom, PhB, SB, MD

Beloved husband of the late Edith Mary Skom PhD, nee Rosen. Loving Father of Harriet (Ron) Meyer and the late Roger Skom. Cherished grandfather of Elaine Meyer, Arthur (fiancée Kat DeNeve) Meyer and Adele (Brad Alter) Meyer. Great-grandfather of Leonard Meyer Alter. Graduate of Aurora High School and the University of Chicago, intern at Johns Hopkins University, President of the Illinois State Medical Society from 1976-77. Clinical professor of Medicine at Northwestern University, a practicing internist for over 60 years. Service Sunday, 2:00 pm at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd., (at Niles Center Road) Skokie. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to The Ark, 6450 N.
