Obituary

Jerry Savitt age 91, died peacefully on November 21, 2022. Jerry was born March 2, 1931, and spent his youth in New York City. He moved to St. Louis MO where he met his wife, Barbara while attending Washington University. While there, Jerry and Barbara made life-long friends with a group known as "the Poker Club." Jerry and Barbara raised their family in Glencoe Illinois. One of the things that Jerry was very proud of was his time on the Glencoe Village Board. Jerry is survived by his three daughters: Nancy Stermer (Jerry), Juli Cavnar (Adam), and Terri Voss (Keith); his grandchildren whom he adored: Rachel Stermer, Daniel Stermer, Jeremy Harvey (Amy), Melissa Jimenez (Oswaldo) and Ricky Voss, and his beloved great grandchildren Eliana, Zeke and Matthew. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara, and his sister Bernice. In lieu of donations please make a contribution to the charity of your choice. Graveside service Wednesday, Nov 23, 10:00 AM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
