Obituary

Dr. Jerrold Pinya Katz, z"l, aged 82, of Chicago, Illinois passed away peacefully in his home on November 21, 2021 surrounded by family.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Brenda Katz; his brother, Bernard Katz; his children Rena (Richard) Berger, Shira (Ron) Krebs, Ariella (Aylon) Glaser, and Lev (Orah) Katz; and his grandchildren: Zakai, Elinoa, and Adiellah Berger; Yonit, Dahlia, Avital and Eytan Krebs; Ayelet, Tani, Amir, Asaf, and Itai Glaser; and Benjamin, Adam, Aaron, and Abigail Katz.

Dr. Katz was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba June 11, 1939. He received a Bachelors of Commerce from the University of Manitoba and an MBA and PhD from Columbia University. He was an avid reader and most enjoyed reading historical tomes.

Funeral service, Monday, 10:30 AM at Congregation K.I.N.S. of West Rogers Park, 2800 West North Shore Avenue, Chicago. Please enter at the entrance on North Shore Avenue. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chicago Mitzvah Campaign, chicagomitzvahcampaign.org or any Jewish institute of learning.
