Obituary

Jeffry Stern Wineman Sr, loving father, grandfather and friend passed away August 12, 2021 at the age of 82. Jeff was born in 1938 in Highland Park, IL to John and Katherine Wineman. He graduated from Colgate in 1961 and worked in the insurance industry until his retirement from Mesirow Financial. As a survivor of MS and a devastating accident, he devoted his time to raising awareness and funds for MS research and living with disabilities. Jeff was preceded in death by his brother John Wineman Jr and sister Susan Adler. He was a loving father to Jeffry (Deborah) Wineman Jr and Jill Wineman Stone and leaves a legacy of 5 grandchildren: Hannah, Gabe, and Jack Wineman and Zachary and Nate Stone. He will be remembered and cherished by so many, including his most trusted advisor and friend Oleg, nieces and nephews and caregivers Barbara and Halina. Jeff was the embodiment of kindness, decency, generosity and resilience. His positive attitude and sense of humor will leave an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Service Monday, 12 Noon, at Am Shalom, 840 Vernon Ave, Glencoe, IL 60022. The service will be livestreamed at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
