Jean (Shayndel) Kernes, 100, loving mother of Steven (Amy) Kernes, Stewart (Paula Pambianco) Kernes, Jay (Elaine) Kernes and Robin Wittum; cherished Bubby aka "The Bubs" of Justin Kernes, Adam Kernes, Elisabeth (Nate) King, Ben (Jenny Hargrave) Kernes, Jennifer Kernes, Jonathan Kernes and Jason (Elizabeth) West; wonderful great-grandmother of Lila and Jack; dear brother of the late Max Gertler; treasured aunt of Elaine Marcus and Marty Gertler; Jean was much loved by all her family and cousins in Toronto. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Leyley and Valerie for their care and dedication to Jean. In lieu of flowers, donations may made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, www.bcrf.org. Chapel service Monday, January 9, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W.
