Obituary

Janice Cohn nee Goldman, age 92. Beloved wife of Jona Cohn (z"l). Loving mother of Rebecca (David) Eisenberg, Rachel (Dani) Cohen, and David (Ronna) Ness-Cohn. Cherished Savta of Yiftach (Janice), Yochai (Amy), Yuval (Becky), Yonatan, Itai, Arielle, Tali, and Elan. Proud great-grandmother of Orli, Noa, Mara, Boaz, Oren, Sivan, and Eitan. Dear sister of Zelda (Irwin, z"l) Rich. Our Savta created Jewish traditions not only for our family but for countless families who attended the BJE early childhood centers that she founded and directed. Teachers continue to use her child-centered approach and children find their own special love of Jewish family life. Service Wednesday, December 13, 2017, 12:00 pm, at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd (at Niles Center Road), Skokie. Interment Shalom. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to BJE Early Childhood Centers, 3320 Dundee Road, Northbrook, IL 60062, www.bjeecc.info, or Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Program, email [email protected] or call Kristin @ 312.942.3517.
