Janice Chesney, nee Ratskoff, age 70, of Arlington Heights, beloved wife of James Chesney; loving mother of Matthew (Koren) Chesney and Samuel Chesney; adored grandmother of Audrey and Aiden; devoted daughter of the late Diana Ratskoff and the late Sid Ratskoff; cherished sister of Alan (Helaine Katz-Ratskoff) Ratskoff and Bruce (Rita) Ratskoff; dear sister-in-law of Janet (Tim Wolf) Fredenhagen and the late Donald Fredenhagen; treasured aunt and friend to many; Janice was the “Dog Mom” of Bandit, Sandy and the late Nettie. Janice will be remembered for her kindness and love for her family and her passion for dogs. Service Tuesday, 2:30 p.m. CT at Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 9900 Gross Point Rd., Skokie. Entombment to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, contribution would be appreciated to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), www.aspca.org.
