Obituary

Irving B. Lerner, passed away on Saturday, November 20th, 2021 at the age of 91. He is survived by his children, Dr. Howard (Kay) Lerner and Dr. Brian (Dr. Renee) Lerner; sister, Naomi (Howard) Rovner; grandchildren, Alexander Louis Lerner and Maura Beth Lerner. He was predeceased by his wife, Gilda T. Lerner (nee Rosenthal), daughter, Marla Joy Lerner and parents, Julius Eli and Betty Lerner.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Wednesday, November 24th, 2021 at 12 pm. Interment Bnai Israel Cemetery, Southern Avenue. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to the Marla Joy Lerner Library Fund at Beth Israel Congregation, 3706 Crondall Lane, Owings Mills, MD 21117. In mourning at the Doubletree Pikesville, 1726 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD, 21208, through Wednesday evening with a shiva minyan at 7 pm. Shiva will continue on Thursday and Friday at the Lerner home at 825 S. Bond Street, receiving visitors from Noon to 3 pm. On Sunday and Monday visitors will be received from 1-4 pm and from 6 pm on with a minyan at 7 pm each night. We respectfully request those attending to be fully vaccinated and to wear a mask.
