Obituary

Irving "Irv" Kannett, 101, January 29, 2023; beloved husband of the late Joanne for 71 wonderful years; loving father of Mark (Sandra Cohn), Jeffrey (Alisa); much loved grandpa of Ari-David, Ryan, Rebecca, Erin (Adam) Koss, Taylor; cherished "GG" of Logan and Mason Irv Koss, adored brother, uncle and great uncle. Irv was a highly decorated WWII Veteran, Bronze Star recipient, a Master Sergeant with the 96th Infantry Division- which sustained the greatest losses during WWII. Following the Army, Irv met the love of his life Joanne and they began to build a family together. Irv was a life-long Chicago resident who started a successful business "Irving Kannett and Associates" where he worked until retiring at 93 years of age. Irv was a treasured friend to all he worked with as well as a dedicated family man who will be dearly missed.
