Herman Grant

September 29th, 2021

Obituary

Herman Grant, 95, beloved husband and soul mate of the late Marlene, who passed just one week ago; happily married for 65 years; loving father of Arnie (Jeanne) Grant, Sue (Jim) Blomberg and Wendi (Jimmy) Alexander; cherished grandfather of Carter (Lizzie) and Michael Grant, Karl (Lindsey) Blomberg, Allison (Matt) Gribble, Eric (Darcey) and Scott (Fiancée Lindsey Fredian) Blomberg, Chad, Kevin and Sean Alexander; adored great-grandfather of Sadie, Ronnie, Ryan, Tessa, Austin and Casey. The family would like to give a special "thank you" to Marigold, her husband Geo and Helen for their care and dedication for so many years. Herman was a practicing attorney for 60 years and was devoted to his family. His goal was to live as long as his wife so he would always be there for her, and to die shortly after her because he could not bear to live without her. Against all odds, he accomplished his goal. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jewish Children and Family Services (jcfs.org). Services were held at Shalom Memorial Park, for additional information and a link to view the service online, visit Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, www.shalom2.com or 847-255-3520.
